Midlevels

Northern Hong Kong is labeled like one structure. The Midlevels is the residential district located up the mountain from Central. These are housing. There’s a lot of this sort of thing. Not only are they about a thousand stories tall, but they are thin and spire from the aerie of the mountain tip tops. It’s vertiginous!

View From Escalators

View from the Central-Midlevels Escalator, the longest escalator system in the world, transporting rush hour traffic either up or down the mountain from the prime residential areas to the business district at sea level. Pretty neat. I took pictures from it, but never a picture, you know, of it.
